alex lozano

Alex is a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII) and Commercial Multi Engine Pilot. He has a passion for both aviation and education. His favorite part about being an instructor is watching new pilots overcome challenges and become thriving, safe pilots.

Outside of aviation, Alex is a serial hobbyist who enjoys woodworking, chess, video games, and many more. On his days off, you can find him traveling the world. He has visited more than 17 countries in the last ten years.

Alex is committed to safety and the future of aviation.

gavin scharf

Gavin is a CFII with single-engine, multi-engine, and seaplane ratings, trained right here in the DFW area. He genuinely enjoys working with pilots at all stages — helping them build confidence, think ahead of the airplane, and develop strong, safe habits that stick. Gavin takes a lot of pride in being patient, approachable, and tailoring instruction to each student, while continuing to grow and sharpen his own skills every day.

Alex Rodriguez is a dedicated flight instructor and commercial pilot who is passionate about helping students become safe, confident, and proficient aviators. He brings a professional, student-focused approach to every lesson, emphasizing strong decision-making, sound aeronautical knowledge, and practical flying skills.

Alex enjoys mentoring pilots at every stage of training and strives to create a positive learning environment where students can achieve their goals while building confidence in the cockpit. Whether conducting ground instruction or flight training, he is committed to making learning both effective and enjoyable.

will robert

Will is a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII) and Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot dedicated to helping students achieve their aviation goals. He focuses on building confidence, sound decision-making, and a strong understanding of both the how and why behind safe flight operations.

A graduate of Sam Houston State University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology, Will brings a thoughtful and professional approach to instruction. Outside of aviation, he enjoys spending time on the golf course.

Will is committed to continuous growth and strives to make every training experience productive, engaging, and rewarding.

jameson oldham

Jameson Oldham is different. He is NTX’s Multi Engine Instructor and a CFII with a background in professional music education. He uses his skills to translate this to students to better help them comprehend topics, understand concepts more clearly, and instill confidence in them to continue staying motivated throughout training.

When he’s not teaching, he enjoys spending time with his wife, MaKayla, and two Bernese Mountain Dogs, Max and Juneau.

amy whalen

Amy Whelan is a CFI/CFII with over 1,000 flight hours and more than 650 hours of dual instruction given. She earned her Private Pilot Certificate through the EAA Ray Scholarship and graduated Cum Laude from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a degree in Aeronautical Science.

Amy has taught flight, ground, and instrument students in Part 61 and Part 141 programs, including FAA Instrument Rating ground school as an adjunct professor. She has also mentored young aviators through EAA Young Eagles and the EAA Air Academy.

Her experience includes a United Airlines flight internship, and she is an FAA Certified Dispatcher and commercial sUAS Flight Operator. Now based in Dallas, Amy enjoys helping students build the knowledge and confidence to reach their aviation goals.

claudia carver

Claudia Carver is a Certified Flight Instructor and instrument-rated commercial pilot who is passionate about helping students build confidence, strong aviation fundamentals, and the judgment needed to become safe, capable pilots.

Originally from Pennsylvania, Claudia relocated to Texas to continue her flight training and pursue a career in aviation. She brings a professional, encouraging approach to instruction and emphasizes safety, sound decision-making, and continuous growth throughout every stage of training.

Outside of flight instruction, Claudia serves as Social Media Chair for the Women in Aviation North Texas Chapter, supporting outreach and opportunities for aspiring aviators. She also enjoys creating aviation content and spending time with her dog, Piper, named after her favorite training aircraft.

hunter burcham

Hunter is a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII) and Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot with a passion for helping students become safe, confident, and proficient aviators. His approach to instruction focuses on building strong fundamentals, sound decision-making, and helping students understand the “why” behind what they’re learning.

Before aviation, Hunter played Division I football at Abilene Christian University while earning his bachelor’s degree in Pre-Medical Kinesiology, later continuing into postgraduate chiropractic studies. His background in athletics, coaching, and higher education shaped a teaching style that is disciplined, patient, and tailored to each student.

Outside the cockpit, Hunter enjoys strength training, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and dogs.

kritik kansal

Kritik is a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII) and instrument-rated commercial pilot trained right here in the DFW area. He is passionate about aviation and sharing that passion with others. Kritik brings a positive, fun, and personalized approach to flight training, tailoring his instruction to each student’s individual goals and learning style. His goal is to make every lesson both productive and enjoyable.

Outside of flight instruction, Kritik enjoys traveling, playing a variety of sports, racing sim games, going go-karting, and working on cars. He is also an avid Formula 1 fan and enjoys following the sport.

Kritik is committed to helping future aviators become safe, confident, and knowledgeable pilots while continuing to learn, grow, and improve as a pilot himself.

ella jones

Ella is a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII) and Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot currently working toward her Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI) certificate. She is passionate about helping students build confidence, develop strong safety habits, and achieve their aviation goals while discovering a genuine love for flying. Ella is an active participant in the FAA WINGS Program and an Ambassador for Women in Aviation.

Outside of aviation, Ella enjoys cooking, staying active, and trying new restaurants. She graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Business and currently works at an ophthalmology clinic. She is committed to continuous growth and helping every student become a safe, confident, and capable pilot.

Jaden Luker is a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI/CFII) and Commercial Multi-Engine Pilot focused on helping students become confident, capable, and safe pilots. His instruction emphasizes sound decision-making, aircraft proficiency, and understanding the reasoning behind what they do. Jaden enjoys helping students overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and become the best pilots they can be.

Outside of aviation, Jaden enjoys working out, gaming, spending time outdoors, and snowboarding whenever he gets the opportunity.
